Waverly Chamber Ambassadors Welcome New Businesses and Celebrate Local Milestone

Waverly, IA –  The Waverly Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors recently conducted their September Ambassador Visits, recognizing four local businesses with First Dollar and Progress Awards. Honorees included Vance Carpentry, Photography by Kimberly Murphy, Encore Flowers and The Other Place II.

The Ambassadors presented a First Dollar Award to Zach Vance, owner of Vance Carpentry, welcoming the business to the Waverly community. Vance brings years of experience in the carpentry and construction industry, having previously served customers in the Atlantic area. The licensed and insured business offers framing, finish carpentry, cabinetry, deck construction and repairs.

The Ambassadors also presented First Dollar Awards to Kimberly Murphy, owner of Photography by Kimberly Murphy, and Jennifer Jones, owner of Encore Flowers. A ribbon cutting was held to officially welcome the businesses to their new shared studio space, which brings photography and floral services together under one roof. Photography by Kimberly Murphy offers professional photography services, while Encore Flowers provides floral arrangements and related services for a variety of occasions. The shared location creates opportunities for both businesses to grow and collaborate while expanding the services available within Waverly’s business community.

Owners Bob and Kelli Lenz accepted a Progress Award in celebration of The Other Place II’s 50th anniversary in Waverly. The Other Place II has been a longtime part of the Waverly community, serving generations of customers since opening locally in 1976. The milestone recognizes the continued dedication of the Lenz family and their team, as well as the restaurant’s lasting presence in the community.

The Waverly Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors Program serves as a public relations arm of the Waverly Chamber by welcoming new businesses, recognizing business expansion efforts, and recruiting new members.
